Pianist Entertains Protesters Amid Uneasy Calm In Istanbul

As antigovernment protesters remain in Istanbul's Taksim Square, the site of fierce clashes with police in recent days, a German pianist entertained the activists with a small outdoor concert late on June 12. The musician, Davide Martello, says he plans to play his piano in cities around the world. The protesters are continuing to occupy the square, defying government efforts to disperse them.
