We're currently seeking a proficient freelancer to take on the role of Social Media Editor within our Azerbaijani Service at RFE/RL.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing teams of social media reporters and producers optimally publishing our reporting in various formats.
- Regularly reviews and proactively shares performance metrics on relevant platforms for reviews and projects. Presents coverage ideas to the Bureau Chief/Chief Editor for discussion at the daily editorial meeting.
- Makes sure editorial standards are met on all our storytelling across platforms and that all content is thoroughly factchecked and edited before publication.
- Mines the social media for news leads, UGC (User Generated Content), and editorially relevant conversations.
Conditions:
Freelance Contract.
Languages: Azeri & English - mandatory, Russian - desired.
