RFE/RL is seeking interns for its Multimedia Internship program based in Prague. This is an exciting opportunity for university students or recent graduates to work across various departments within the News Division, depending on their language skills and interests.

We are looking for individuals who are fluent in English and at least one other language from RFE/RL’s broadcast regions. Successful candidates will have the chance to contribute to a range of multimedia projects and learn from experienced professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

 

Internship Details:

Duration: Minimum of 8 weeks, ideally 3 months, with the possibility of an extension up to 6 months.

Hours: Flexible, with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week required.

Location: Prague, with potential opportunities for remote work depending on the role and team agreement.

 

What You Will Learn:

  • High-impact multimedia storytelling, including video production and photo gallery curation.
  • Script structuring, editorial standards, and style guidelines, including copyright rules.
  • Tips and techniques for video editing using tools such as Adobe Premiere.
  • Best practices for creating social media videos and integrating graphics to enhance storytelling.

Possible Duties:

  • Assisting in the creation of multimedia content, including videos and social media materials.
  • Translating materials between English and other languages as needed.
  • Preparing visual content, such as photo galleries, with accompanying captions and headlines.
  • Supporting various multimedia projects across departments, based on team needs and priorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current university student or recent graduate in good standing.
  • Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or DaVinci (please provide links to any work samples).
  • Fluency in English and one other language from RFE/RL’s broadcast regions is required.
  • Interest in international affairs and familiarity with RFE/RL’s mission and regions of coverage.
